Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy describes the storage technologies used on anagnostis.info and how to manage them. It is written under the Greek ePrivacy rules, namely Law 3471/2006 as amended, which implement the EU ePrivacy Directive in Greece.

The competent supervisory authority is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. For any question about this page, write to [email protected].

A cookie lets a website ask your browser to keep a small piece of information and send it back on a later visit, so the site can recognise that browser. Local storage and session storage serve a related purpose, but they are kept and read only by the site that created them and are not automatically sent with every request to a server.

In this page we use the term "storage technologies" to cover cookies, local storage and session storage together.

anagnostis.info does not set any cookie of its own. We have not installed any third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking technology on the site: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag and no social-media widget that would track you across other websites.

We run a measurement script served from our own domain to understand how the site is used. It records pages viewed, time spent on a page, the referring website, any campaign parameters carried in the link such as a UTM tag or an advertising click id, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is discarded and not stored.

If you send an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visit so we know which channel brought the enquiry. This measurement sets no cookie; it relies solely on the local-storage identifiers listed in the table above, which expire 30 days after your last visit.

The table above lists every entry the site places in your browser's local storage or session storage, its purpose and how long it lasts. None of these entries contains your name, email address, phone number or any other contact detail; they only hold a status flag, a yacht reference or random identifiers.

A small number of requests leave your browser and reach other servers when you open the site:

• Google Fonts: the page loads typefaces directly from Google's servers so the text displays correctly; this request reaches Google together with your IP address, under Google's own policies.

• jsDelivr (intl-tel-input library): the phone field in our enquiry form loads a small library from the jsDelivr content delivery network to format and validate numbers; this request reaches jsDelivr together with your IP address.

Neither of these requests sets a cookie for us, and neither is used for advertising.

Tapping a WhatsApp button on this site sets nothing in your browser. It only opens WhatsApp after you click it, and from that moment the conversation takes place on WhatsApp under Meta's own privacy policy. Just before opening WhatsApp, we record the click, including the page, referrer, language and the prefilled message, in our own booking system so we can recognise the enquiry.

You can view, block or delete cookies, local storage and session storage through your browser's settings, and most browsers let you open the site in a private window so nothing is kept once you close it. Blocking storage will not stop you from reaching us by email, phone or WhatsApp, but the yacht pre-fill in the enquiry form will not work.

If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary for the site to function, such as one used for advertising, we will ask for your consent before it is set and explain how to withdraw it. We will update this page whenever the storage technologies described here change.
