Awards, distinctions Grants and Prizes:

 

(i) Best Poem award: Merit award for Soweto (poem), from the Greek-Australian Cultural League (1989)

First award for Brunswick Street (narrative poem), from the Greek-Australian Cultural League (1996)

The Holy Water (narrative poem) (1996) First award AHEPA

Literary distinction: The Woman and the Vase (among the first poems of 150 entries), granted by the Greek Writers Pan-Hellenic Union in a competition in Greece (2000)

 

 (ii) Book of poetry awards: The Angelides Foundation, first prize and first award for Calendes (The Calends), published by Collections Books (1995)

Eoraka (I Have Seen), Collections Books, funded by the Australia Council for the Arts (1996), presented in Cyprus on a CBC (Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation) programme

The Angelioforos (Volume A) (The Message Bearer) recently won a literary distinction from the Angelides Foundation

 

(iii) Other awards: The Hellenic Award of Letters for contributing to the Greek Letters (1995)

The Cypriot Community of Melbourne recognition award for interest and contribution to Greek Letters (1997)

 

(iv) Further Distinctions: 1996, the Sydney’s Cypriot Community special welcoming celebration for book Eoraka

In 1997, the Greek Government’s distinction for Greek-Australian women writers

In 2000, the Sydney Greek Community’s award for an extract of the book Clelia

In 1999-2001, Member of the World Cultural League Committee, literature co-ordinator world-wide (1999-2001), Greek writers of the Diaspora, Thessaloniki, SAE (Council of the Hellenes Abroad)

In 2008, excellence award, Greek literary magazine Κελαινώ for poetry book Alasios Nostos.

 In 2008, First Award (Αριστείον) for poems in Alasios Nostos, by literary magazine Κελαινώ.
